Help children around the world!
We are getting a head start and celebrating Christmas in July by supporting Operation Christmas Child as the Vacation Bible School service project. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed more than 77 million shoe box gifts to children world wide. This summer, our goal is to have the VBS kids fill and decorate 250 boxes that will be shipped to boys and girls in need around the world. We already have boxes but we need your help with:
Donations to buy supplementary gifts or to cover shipping costs ($7 per box)
Gifts for children ages 5-9 that will be stuffed into shoe boxes:
- School Supplies (pens, pencils, markers, stamps, coloring or picture books, etc.)
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, or mild bars of soap
- Toys (small cars, dolls, stuffed animals, yo-yo’s, harmonicas, jump ropes, etc.)
- Other (flashlights, t-shirts, socks, hair clips, sunglasses, toy jewelry, caps, etc.)
Please bring your donation with memo “Operation Christmas Child” or gifts to the Children’s Center on or before Monday, July 12, 2010. This is a great opportunity to help the children of Montrose Church support children throughout the world. For more information, contact children@montrosechurch.org.
