  • Jr. High Mission:LA and Mission:Montrose

    RSVP for the "Away" Team

    This May, we're going to venture into downtown Los Angeles to feed the homeless and help clean up our city. We will partner with Union Rescue Mission, the downtown LA Midnight Mission, and Elizabeth House in Pasadena. We will stay downtown at Central City Community Church of the Nazarene on Friday night and Los Angeles First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday Night.

    The close of the weekend will include sharing our experiences with the rest of the Jr. High group at Stuck in the Middle. It will be a life changing experience for everyone.

    The cost to cover food and public transportation is $35 per person, which you will keep with you (in cash) and manage during the trip. Space is extremely limited, and requires an interview with John in order to join the team.

    For Jr. Highers not on the Mission: Los Angeles "Away" Team, come and join our "Stay" Team. Details are coming soon, but will involve staying here in Montrose (and baking 2000 cookies) and saying thanks to our neighbors around the church.

  • Jr High Girls: Beauties at the Beach, 6/14

    Fridays, June 14 - August 2 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Hey Jr. High Ladies...join us on Fridays this summer as we head off to the beach to enjoy the sun, sand, waves, hanging out with old friends and making new ones! Bring your own lunch and $5 to cover gas and parking. Be sure that your parents (and your friends' parents fill out a permission slip.

    It’s hard to meet new people, but easy to hang out at a pool party. We combine the two so you can have a great time swimming and playing ridiculous games, and at the same time make new friends. We provide dinner, you bring a friend! Just make sure that their parents fill out a permission slip. Note: Locations vary. Please wear sunscreen and a modest swimsuit.

    Jr. Highers, summer is here, school is out...so let's celebrate at the All Night Party! We'll start off with dinner, sugar, and games at Montrose Church, and then jump on buses and head out for a full night of fun...Golf-n-Stuff, broomball, bowling, scary movies, and of course - no sleeping!

    It's a great time, so bring your friends and register early.  We sell out every year!

  • Jr. High Beach Bonfire, 4/20

    Beach Bonfire

    Saturday, April 20, 2013, 1:30-10 p.m.
    For Grades 7-8

    We're going to the beach in the winter - again! Meet in the church paking lot at 2 p.m. and we'll head to Sycamore Cove Beach in Malibu. Bring $5 to cover good, parking and fuel, as well as some warm clothes and a friend. We'll roast hot dogs and s'mores in the bonfire, crash kites, and play capture the flag. It's a beach, so there will be water - however, it's too cold to swim. We'll return to the parking lot around 10 p.m. Note: In the event of rain, the trip will be re-scheduled.
