Relationships don’t always seem fair. In fact, most of us spend significant amounts of time navigating the complexities of relationships with those we love most. Jesus placed such a high value on relationships that his departing words to his disciples centered on a radical new command: “As I have loved you...” This series, based on John 13-15, unpacks the reality that if you’re going to follow Jesus’ command, you’ll have to think different.

Through the Wilderness  Sundays, April 15 - May 6 (times and directions)

The wilderness is a part of life's journey. We never know how long we will be there, but we know that we must walk through it. Even if the trip is long and tough, the lessons learned in that place can be the most important ones in life. The Children of Israel spent 40 years wandering in the desert before they entered the Promised Land. The journey taught them more than mere survival, it deepened their knowledge of God and it established their true identity in Him.

Picking up the Pieces  Sundays, February 26 - April 8 (times and directions)

Life is fragile. We are fragile, and it doesn’t take a lot of living before we find ourselves with shattered hearts and spirits. In the gospel of Luke, we see fragments of Jesus’ own story marked with broken relationships and experiences. Yet as we look through the pieces of His story in the gospel of Luke, we see a bigger picture of sweeping truth, hope and resurrection. This Easter season is a personal invitation to make a journey toward wholeness and allow God to begin picking up the pieces.

Our perspective affects our focus, the details of what we see, and how we experience life. At first glance, a simple story of ten lepers doesn't appear to offer much room for perspective-shift: these ten men were missing everything life has to offer, separated by disease and society, living in the shadow of death. However, their encounter with Jesus provides rich details about the full experience that Jesus continues to offer to our human brokenness today. This series takes an in-depth look at Luke 17:11-19 with a new perspective: sometimes what's missing can be found "on the way."

This season, you're invited to slow down and take in the contrasts of the hopes and fears of that first Christmas. And along the way, maybe you'll find your own little Christmas in a surprising place.
