The time leading up to Easter is known as Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing through Maundy Thursday. Lent is the six-week (40 day) period of preparation for Easter, commemorating the 40 days that Jesus fasted in the desert. The six Sundays in Lent aren’t counted in the 40 days, as each one is considered a “mini-Easter,” a time to celebrate Jesus’ victory over death.

At Montrose Church, we mark the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday family service, taking a break from our regular midweek activities for students. While we don’t consider it a requirement to “give up” something for Lent (such as food, activities, etc.), many people find it especially meaningful to practice this tradition individually and/or as a family.

We invite you to join us at one of our campuses to worship together as a family, prayerfully consider your personal journey to Easter, and receive the Lent ashes as a symbol of this journey.

Nursery is provided for infants through age three. Please note that there are no activities for children and students on Ash Wednesday so that everyone can participate together in this experience.

THANK YOU PASTOR RICK, HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AT 7PM SERVICE,

MONTROSE CHURCH IS A REAL BLESSING TO US.
Since we have moved to Canyon Country area we are looking for a closer Nazarene Church to get involved with in Santa Clarita area if you have any recommendations for a Great God Fearing Bible Believing Church.

Tony has been nice enough to find things I could do on occasion, Clean up or Usher, I appreciate the opportunity and Blessing! Apparently they are not doing First Fridays much any longer ;-(( …. so I don’t get to help with that now either.
Maybe I can find local Prayer Meetings and Bible Study Groups ( Life Groups) it’s hard w/Pollys long days and hard commute to get home in time to join in! And me, starting life all over at 56 years old w/a few health issues of my own! I’m Currently going to LockSmith School :-)) but have a long road to hoe.

We look forward to your emails and PRAISE THE LORD for THE LORD Healing You
I still owe you lunch, I haven’t forgotten my friend.

    Love Ya In The Lord
    MITCH & POLLY CRILLY
