We Need a Little Christmas, November 27-January 1

Watch "We Need a Little Christmas" on Vimeo     Subscribe in iTunes

Even before the world experienced Christmas, somehow people knew they needed a little bit of it.  Though the prophets, shepherds, and even Mary and Joseph found a little Christmas, it came from very different, and often unexpected places. This season, you're invited to slow down and take in the contrasts of the hopes and fears of that first Christmas. And along the way, maybe you'll find your own little Christmas in a surprising place.

You can’t fake being thankful.  Either you are thankful or you are not.  As we prepare for Thanksgiving,  each of us will make a choice about how we approach the season:  we can check off calendar days and complete tasks, or we can engage a process that nurtures the fruit of true Thanksgiving.  This series explores Paul's writings in 1 Thessalonians that prepare us to fully partake of life with rhythms of peace, joy, and prayerful gratitude.

Once upon a time, they wished upon a star, thought happy thoughts, and lived happily ever after.  Like it or not, even followers of Christ can fall into the trap of treating faith like a fairy tale formula to get what we want out of life.  This series explores the book of Ephesians for a Biblical perspective on hopeful expectations for life, grounded in the reality of truth.

"How can this be?" Nicodemus asked. - John 3:9

Nicodemus sought a formula for faith to secure his future, but Jesus offered him something more basic - the transformation that comes from living in relationship with God. This series, based on John 3-4, takes us back to the basics of the new life that Jesus offered to Nicodemus long ago and continues to offer to us today.

Love Rules, May 28 - June 26

Everything about God is rooted in relationship. Even the core of the Ten Commandments were summed up by Jesus as, "love God and love others." It seems hard to believe that commandments end up being less about law and more about love. Thinking backwards that means there must be some laws about love. This series takes the Ten Commandments and explores how their relational truths pour over our closest relationships and allow love to rule.

It often seems that most good things in life are fragile and must be carefully kept. The well being of our relationships, finances, health and happiness is a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Fear and worry make our inner world more painful than peaceful, yet Jesus taught about a joy that is deeper than our fears. In nine exclamations of joy, Jesus invites every believer to insights on a new way to think about and experience life. This Lenten journey through the Beatitudes is an invitation to discover new truths that make everyday a cause for celebration.
