Friday nights, July 8 - August 26, 6-9 p.m., Hubert Humphrey Park
Meet in the church parking lot at 5:30 p.m. to carpool
Come support the City of Los Angeles by lowering gang and youth violence at Hubert Humphrey Park in Pacoima. This will be our 3rd consecutive year to support this park by serving food, playing games, painting faces and simply being present from 6-9 p.m. on Friday nights. This is a safe and easy way to serve, care for our community, and also have fun spending time with those from our church.
Opportunities to serve include: crafts, officiating soft ball or basketball, working with kids, nurses to take blood pressure, video games and being an extra hand. You can serve for one night or every week. Every helping hand will make a large difference in these communities. For more information, check out Mayor Villaraigosa's site or contact Cory Marquez.
