The latest update on me...

Just wanted to give you the latest update on my condition. We met with the neurosurgeon last Friday, and the results of the last MRI still showed some swelling on the brain as well as blood (that needs to absorbed by the body). However, the swelling is continuing to decrease (slowly) and my movement, energy, etc. continues to improve. (The doctor actually said I look drastically improved from when he saw me in the hospital). We will be scheduling another MRI, and I will see the neurosurgeon again September 4. He still wants to order an angiogram to view the blood vessels that may have caused the bleed, but cannot see a clear picture when there is still swelling and residual blood on the brain. He did say that he is not currently seeing any other obvious abnormalities, and therefore is hopeful that one does not exist. Thus, the “mystery” mass is not even being addressed, but they still don’t have a clear idea of what caused the bleed (hmm?). So….. as you may already know, the doctor has released me back to work. However, he asked that I “ease” back into my regular activities. (That’s a tough one!). I must continue to monitor my blood pressure to prevent the chance of another bleed, as well as continue to take the anti-seizure medication. But, all in all, things are much better and we feel blessed to be over this initial phase (chapter?). Please continue to pray for complete healing and restoration, and strength for me (and we could use some extra strength and patience as well). We love you guys and thank you so much for all your prayers, support, meals, childcare, etc. We feel truly blessed to be part of God’s family. I apologize to those I have not been able to personally thank. Please know all you’ve done has been greatly appreciated. God is SO good!!!! We are forever in His care. Thanks.
