As we continue to experience COVID risks in the Los Angeles area, we are following the guidance of our local government to continue virtual ministry and church online. In the event of drive through and/or smaller group gatherings, we will respect all social distancing and mask requirements as put forth by the CDC.

Dear Montrose Church Family,
As you know, we are facing a challenging time in the world and our state officials are now limiting public gatherings throughout March, including churches.
At Montrose Church, we respect this decision and we are moving our weekend services to be online. Effective immediately, all gatherings are canceled or postponed through the end of March. We will continue to evaluate matters as more information is known and notify you as the situation changes.
Our church has never been about a building… we view this as another opportunity to join together as a virtual community, a true church home, in this time of uncertainty. Over these next weeks, let’s come together with our greatest participation, ministry, and financial giving. This is a time to be an example of His presence in our community.
Here’s what you can do:
- Watch online: Gather your family and friends to worship together at home! Our services will be streamed live on Facebook on Sundays at 10 a.m. (no account required). In addition, you can also view a replay of the full service at montrosechurch.org/watch approximately 30 minutes after the service ends. Our Student Ministries will also offer special online material.
- "Love God. Love Others.": Now is the time to model our calling more than ever and go the extra mile. We want to be ready to serve those who are in need. The church office is standing by to help anyone with urgent needs during this emergency. In the meantime, help the elderly and most vulnerable. Reflect His love with your presence on social media. Send an encouraging note or make a phone call to a friend in self-quarantine. Listen for the needs of others, and ask God to show you how you can help.
- Follow us on social media and the web: Follow us on montrosechurch.org, as well as Facebook and Instagram (@montrosechurch, @mc_pasadena, @montrosechurchkids, @montrosechurchjrhigh, @montrosechurchhighschool, @montrosechurchyoungadults). Our daily Lent practices are posted on our blog, as well as other inspirational and informative posts.
- Give online: We appreciate your regular giving, and especially need your faithfulness during this time. As many in our church are financially impacted by this virus, we thank those of you who are able to cover those who are lacking. Our resources, our staff, and their compensation will be stretched as they respond to the many needs arising. Now is a great time to create your online giving account through our secure giving platform, inFellowship, or text the amount you wish to give to 818-330-1180. To learn more, go to montrosechurch.org/give.
Times like this allow us to be a true church family, in spirit and in action. Let’s rise to the challenge.
- Pastor Dave
